Message from the President

Since coming on board as the President of the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, it has been my pleasure to see the changes this community has been through, and continues to go through. It is my distinct honor and pleasure to be a part of an organization who’s main goal is to make the community a better place- to not only live but to do business in.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight a few accomplishments of your Chamber in 2012:

  • The Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce successfully participated in 18 economic development projects that are projected to generate 762 new jobs and just under $71.1 million in new capital investment.
  • The Small Business Services Center assisted 222 small businesses through classes, roundtable discussions, business coaching and mentoring.
  • The SBSC also held the largest Business Expo in Chamber history with over 1,000 attendees.
  • The Healthcare Association has continued three annual events, Jazz in June, the Mingle Jingle and the Boulder Dash 5k- attracting over 4,000 healthcare professionals and community members annually.
  • The Chamber introduced the Principal for a Day program this year giving business and community leaders the chance to shadow a Forsyth County School principal.
  • The Tourism Department attended four tradeshows and through these secured 30 new leads resulting in over 6,000 hotel room nights booked in our community.

On behalf of your 2013 Board of Directors and the entire Chamber staff, thank you for your membership and your commitment to our community’s leading organization for business.

Sincerely,
James McCoy
